In the Spring, Bald Eagles routinely "patrol" many rural highways, looking for an easy meal as deer carcasses emerge from the melting snow.

The red spot on the back of this eagle's head is blood from a nearby deer carcass that 3 adult and 2 juvenile eagles were feasting on.
