Horses are allowed on the THT from May 1st to November 15th. 

Horses are not allowed on the THT from November 16th thru April 30th because:

• Deer Hunting in November

• The THT is groomed for cross-country skiing in the Winter

• Trail damage in the Spring before the frost is out of the ground and the trail dries out

It is also important to remember that the THT is a multi-user trail.  Horses must be accustomed to meeting other trail users, and not have a bad reaction.
