The Timm's Hill Trail is groomed for both classic and skate skiing.  It's groomed at minimum weekly and after each snowfall as necessary to ensure a quality skiing experience.

From the south end, the first 3 miles of the trail start out fairly flat and are great for beginners and families.  The next 7 miles get progressively hillier and offer more of a challenge for the intermediate to advanced skiers.

The Timm's Hill Trail connects the Camp Forest Springs Trails and Rib Lake Ski & Snowshoe Trails to the High Point Ski Trails, creating over 70km of connected trails, offering some of the finest cross-country skiing in the mid-west.

Snowshoeing, skijoring, and well behaved pets are welcome on the Timm's Hill Trail,

the Rib Lake Ski & Snowshoe Trails, and the High Point Ski Trails.

Poor

We haven't been below freezing since Sunday morning and the snow is pretty much gone now.

Skiing was great Sunday and pretty good Monday, but by Tuesday there were lots of bare spots.

I went for a walk today (Wednesday) and there's more dirt and icy patches than snow.

Skiing is done for the year.

Good

The trail has refrozen after the warm weekend.  I groomed tonight with the leveling drag to breakup the frozen bumps and smooth out the trail.  It's not "pretty", but it turns an icy trail into a ski-able surface.

I did not set tracks.

The forecast is for 20's this week, 30's this weekend, and 40's & 50's next week, with very little snow.

They've started preparing to collect maple syrup just north of the county line at Mile 2.5.

There's a big mess at the top of the hill, but after that the rest of the downhill isn't too bad.

I smoothed it out a little bit tonight, but there's not much loose snow to work with.  Ski carefully!

We've had a warm week with freeze-thaw cycles and a couple inches of snow Wednesday.

The THT is in good "Spring Skiing" condition.  This weekend will be warm with snow/rain Sunday & Monday.

I'm planning to groom as soon as it cools off Monday or Tuesday.

The THT is hard and fast right now.  There are some "rolling bumps" because there is not enough snow to level the trail, and there are a few dirty spots.  We've received a light dusting of snow several times this week, but I'm not planning on grooming before the weekend because I think it will do more harm than good.

No Snow

We've had a mix of rain, snow, and warm temps so far this December.

There's a little snow on the ground, but not enough to groom.

The weather for the next week is not promising - warmer temps and very little snow.
