The Timm's Hill Trail is groomed for both classic and skate skiing.  It's groomed at minimum weekly and after each snowfall as necessary to ensure a quality skiing experience.

From the south end, the first 3 miles of the trail start out fairly flat and are great for beginners and families.  The next 7 miles get progressively hillier and offer more of a challenge for the intermediate to advanced skiers.

The Timm's Hill Trail connects the Camp Forest Springs Trails and Rib Lake Ski & Snowshoe Trails to the High Point Ski Trails, creating over 70km of connected trails, offering some of the finest cross-country skiing in the mid-west.

Snowshoeing, skijoring, and well behaved pets are welcome on the Timm's Hill Trail,

the Rib Lake Ski & Snowshoe Trails, and the High Point Ski Trails.

The section of the THT in Taylor County is closed and will not be groomed until January 1, 2015.

Until then, the groomed THT will not connect to the Rib Lake Ski & Snowshoe Trails.

We had 45° and rain Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.  It washed out most of the snow.

We received 2" of snow Tuesday, but not enough to cover the trail.

Waiting for more snow...

I groomed the THT Monday from the Price / Taylor County Line (Mile 2) to Highway to Heaven (Mile 7).

Some sections of the THT are in excellent condition, but due to the wet Fall, early snow, multiple freeze/thaw cycles, and hunters driving on the trail, there are many areas that are very rough and not ski-able.  We’ll need another 6” of snow to create good conditions for skiing.

We received 12” of snow November 10-11.

I will start grooming the THT on December 1, 2014, after the gun deer season ends.
