Rusch Preserve

 

The Rusch Preserve is located at the Southern Terminus of the Timm's Hill Trail on Hwy C in Taylor County, where the trail connects with the Ice Age Trail and the Rib Lake Ski & Snowshoe Trails.  The Rusch Preserve features:

  • Two off-road parking lots
  • Kiosks with trail information
  • Mile Post Zero
  • Picnic tables
  • Interpretive signs that explain the glacial geography and logging history of the area
  • Three rustic camp sites in the Stille Nacht Campground
  • Klostermann Creek Bridge
  • Historic site of Camp 6, a logging camp operated by the Rib Lake Lumber Company around 1905
